Click the **star icon** on any brand row to mark it as a [competitor](/docs/competitors) for focused tracking.

## Competitor Visibility Chart

The expandable chart at the top of the Rankings page visualises how your brand's visibility compares to competitors over time.

* **Up to 10 brands** can be displayed simultaneously
* Your **primary brand** is highlighted with a thicker line
* Each brand gets a distinct colour from your team's palette
* **Hover** over any point for exact values and dates
* **Export** the chart data to Excel for stakeholder presentations

By default, the chart shows your primary brand plus your top competitors. If no competitors are marked, the top-ranked brands are selected automatically. You can manually add or remove brands from the chart.

## Filters

* **Brand** — select specific brands to compare
* **Date Range** — time period for calculations
* **Topics** — filter by prompt topic categories
* **Tags** — filter by custom prompt labels
* **Services** — focus on specific AI platforms
* **Countries** — country-specific rankings
* **Competitors Only** — toggle to show only your primary brand and marked competitors

## Key Insights

**Gaps matter as much as position:**

* \#2 at 74% vs #1 at 75% = close race
* \#2 at 50% vs #1 at 90% = significant gap to close

**Use filters strategically:**

* By tag: "How do we rank for 'Enterprise CRM'?"
* By service: "How do we rank on ChatGPT vs Gemini?"
* By country: "How do we rank in US vs UK?"

## Export

Click **Export** to download rankings data in Excel format. Includes all visible data based on current filters. Use the **Competitors Only** toggle to generate focused competitive reports.

## Tips

* Check weekly at minimum
* Focus on trends over time, not single data points
* When ranking changes, investigate: check competitor mentions, research their recent activity
* Use the competitor visibility chart for stakeholder presentations — it tells a clear visual story
* Improving rankings takes sustained effort over months — there are no quick fixes
