# Copying Prompts to Other Countries

> Duplicate your prompts across multiple countries to track regional differences in AI visibility.

AI responses vary significantly by geography. The same question asked in the UK and the US can produce different brand recommendations, different sources, and different positioning. Copying prompts across countries lets you track these regional differences without manually recreating each prompt.

## How to Copy Prompts

1. Navigate to your project's **Prompts** tab
2. Select the prompts you want to copy using the checkboxes
3. Click **Copy to Country** in the bulk actions toolbar
4. Select one or more **target countries**
5. Confirm the action

Surfacd creates a copy of each selected prompt for each target country. Topics, tags, and keywords from the original prompts are preserved.

## What Gets Copied

| Copied | Not Copied |
| ----------- | ------------------------ |
| Prompt text | Historical response data |
| Topic | Visibility scores |
| Tags | N/A |
| Keywords | N/A |

Each copied prompt is a new, independent prompt that will be included in future data collection runs for its assigned country.

## Duplicate Handling

Surfacd automatically detects duplicates. If a prompt with the same text already exists for a target country, it's skipped rather than duplicated. After copying, you'll see a summary showing how many prompts were created versus skipped.

## Credit Impact

Copied prompts are new active prompts, so they affect your credit usage:

* **Scheduled projects** (Daily/Weekly): Your credit reservation is recalculated to include the new prompts
* **Pitch projects**: Copied prompts count toward the pitch's prompt limit but use no credits

Surfacd checks your available credits before copying and will let you know if you don't have enough.
