# Report Downloads

> Export project data pages as a PDF, download Rankings and Answers as Markdown, or print any page as a clean report.

Report pages can be taken with you as formatted documents, not just raw data tables. Where an Excel export gives you the underlying rows, a report download gives you the page itself: charts, tables and your active filters laid out as a shareable document.

## Export Project Data Pages as a PDF

Project reporting and prompt pages have an **Export as PDF** button in the header. Project Settings, Manage Tags and Manage Topics do not offer exports because they contain administration controls rather than report data. On smaller screens the export action appears as a download icon beside the **+** Add Prompts action. Click it to render and download the report:

* The button shows a loading state while the current page is rendered
* The download starts as soon as rendering finishes; keep the page open until it begins
* The PDF captures the page exactly as you have it filtered, so set the date range, models, tags and other filters first

What the PDF contains:

* A report header with your team logo, the project and page name, and a link back to the live page
* The date range and any active filters, written out in plain language
* The page's cards, charts and tables at full page width, with table headings repeated across pages

PDFs are returned directly and are not stored by Surfacd. Tables print the page of results you are currently viewing.

## Markdown Reports

Rankings and Answers can also be downloaded as Markdown for LLMs. Open the **Export** menu on the page (beside the search box above the rankings table, or next to the search on Answers) and pick a format:

* **Export as Markdown** — the report as plain Markdown. Paste it into an AI assistant to analyse or summarise your results.
* **Export as XLSX** — the raw rows behind the page (for example the rankings summary or the full answers table) rather than the formatted report.

The Markdown report includes the date range and active filters, the competitor visibility summary and top 25 rankings on Rankings, the latest 25 answers with mention snippets on Answers, and a link that reopens the report live with the same filters applied.

## Access

* PDF exports and report downloads require a team account with download permissions
* Markdown reports render fresh from your current filters and are not stored

## Printing Any Page

You can also use your browser's print command (`Cmd+P` on Mac, `Ctrl+P` on Windows) on any project page and choose **Save as PDF**. The result matches the exported PDF: navigation, filters and controls are left out, and the report header, filters and full-width cards take their place.
