# Source Analysis

> See which websites AI services cite in their responses.

Understand what pages are being cited and influencing the results from AI. So that you can adjust outbound strategies to influence the AI outputs in the future.

## Views

* **By URL** - Individual pages cited
* **By Domain** - Aggregated by website (hubspot.com)
* **By Hostname** - Separates subdomains (blog.example.com vs [www.example.com](http://www.example.com))

## The Sources Table

## Filters

The source data respects all global filters:

* **Brand** — view sources for a specific brand
* **Date Range** — time period for citations
* **Topics** — filter by prompt topic categories
* **Tags** — filter by custom prompt labels
* **Services** — focus on specific AI platforms
* **Countries** — filter by geography

## Source Categories

## What to Look For

**Your own site:**

* Are you being cited? Which pages?
* Compare your citation volume to competitors

**Competitors:**

* Which sources cite them but not you?
* What content types perform well?

**Influential sources:**

* Which sites get cited most in your category?
* Potential targets for PR or guest content

## Tips

* If you're not being cited, focus on creating authoritative, publicly accessible content
* Different AI services cite different sources - variation is normal
* Source influence builds over time; content strategy takes months to show results
